BML Smart Energy Savings Program

Public Commitment

Brisbane Markets has recently undertaken a Level 2 Energy Audit in compliance with the Queensland Government’s Smart Energy Savings Program (SESP).

As part of this process, the following energy savings measures were identified and have been included in an energy savings plan for Brisbane Markets:

Energy Efficiency

Replace as required existing T8 lighting in buildings K1 to more efficient T5 lamps. Upgrade existing common area lighting to High Pressure Sodium lights as required.

Energy Conservation

Removing light globes from fittings in over-lit office spaces where required. Implement a corporate behaviour change program.

Energy Management

Develop a green building strategy.
