Take a cooking class at Saturday Fresh Market
Brisbane MarketPlace will host the James St Cooking School from Saturday 10 July.
The first of these classes will focus on outdoor dining and although themed ‘Beer & BBQ’ it promises to put a whole new outlook on cooking on the barbie!
Learn how to create duck and Bethonga gold pineapple kebabs, Moroccan spiced fish, avocado and lime salsa and Mediterranean marinated steak.
All with the best fresh produce at your fingertips.
Beer & BBQ classes will include:
Demonstration of recipes followed by hands-on cooking with support during the class by a team of qualified chefs.
Small class sizes (maximum 20 attendees).
Complete meal of 3 – 4 dishes.
Lunch on conclusion of class, accompanied by wine or beer.
John Meredith, owner of James St Cooking School in Fortitude Valley, sees Brisbane Marketplace as the perfect location for al fresco cooking classes.
“I just love the idea that people can take a cooking class in the same location as they select wonderful fresh produce from the markets” he said.
“So much about the success of any recipe is the quality of the produce used and I’m hoping these hands-on classes will motivate people to become adventurous by trying new recipes and ingredients”.
Book now for the first Beer and BBQ class – Saturday 10 July at 11.30am; $125pp (includes lunch).
Numbers are limited to a maximum of 20 per class. Bookings and pre-payment essential.
