Ekka is here...

Brisbane Markets Agricultural Hall

The Brisbane Markets Agricultural Hall is full of activity every day during Ekka, and features some of Queensland's best produce. With so many different exhibits on display this year make sure you visit the Agricultural Hall to see a range of exhibits from grower associations to youth groups, as well as the ’larger than life’ fruit and vegetable competitions.

The Brisbane Markets Agricultural Hall boasts creative displays of fresh produce from across the state and there is no better place to learn about your local Queensland growers.

Fresh Tastes cooking demonstrations

Brisbane Produce Market Fresh Tastes independent greengrocers will use their own fresh produce to prepare delicious, seasonal and easy recipes for Ekka visitors.

The Brisbane Produce Market Fresh Tastes cooking demonstrations and taste testing sessions will be held daily on the half hour from 10.30am to 3.30pm.

Queensland Kids Fresh Net (QKFN) kids cooking classes

The Brisbane Produce Market QKFN program will run kids cooking classes for primary school children to promote healthy eating. The popular cooking classes have a capacity for 32 children and runs for approximately 30 minutes.

Hint: get in line 10 minutes before the session start time to ensure your little chef has a place in the class. Mums, dads and other adults are encouraged to watch, learn and also participate as the children prepare delicious recipes.

Classes are held daily on the hour at 11am, 12 noon, 1pm and 2pm.
