Brisbane Markets' fruity fleet
Brisbane Markets is doing its bit to deliver healthy eating
messages with new eye-catching fruity promotional vehicles hitting the
road in the greater Brisbane area.
The Holden Astras will be hard to miss as they clock up the kilometres
visiting schools participating in the Queensland Kids Fresh Net (QKFN)
program, promoting fresh fruit and vegetables.
The updated design promotes healthy eating messages and an
active lifestyle by using bold, bright imagery including fresh fruit
and vegetables, the Go for 2&5 message, and depicting some typical
Queensland outdoor activities.
Brisbane Markets Marketing and Communications Manager
Ann-Marie Johansen said the fruit and veg promotional vehicles are on
the road every day of the week and are another way that the Brisbane
Markets encourage young people and the grocery buying public to eat
more fruit and vegetables.
“The Brisbane Markets Queensland Kids Fresh Net program is free
to all Queensland schools,” Ms Johansen said.
“The program targets children, parents, teachers and tuckshop convenors
encouraging school children to make healthy eating choices and live
active lifestyles.
“To be part of QKFN all schools have to do is to register on-line and
they are eligible for all promotional material and resources,” she
said.
This year the Queensland Kids Fresh Net team will spread the
healthy eating message and the importance of a healthy, balanced diet
to over 100 schools in Brisbane, educating over 6,000 children with
classroom presentations as well as tours of the Brisbane Produce
Market.
