In 2007 Brisbane Produce Market supported one of the busiest industry event seasons in years with its sponsorships and attendance of conferences, dinners and a festival.

2007 Bowen and District Growers Association Inc Gala Dinner
Brisbane Produce Market was a major sponsor of the annual event held on 28 April 2007 that allowed growers, wholesalers and other industry members to strengthen relationships with each other and the Bowen business community.
2007 6th Australian Mango Conference
The mango conference drew about 250 people to the Gold Coast on 22-25 May 2007 for its biannual conference. Brisbane Produce Market sponsored the event and staffed a trade display.
2007 Queensland Strawberry Conference Dinner
Brisbane Markets CEO Andrew Young was a keynote speaker and Brisbane Produce Market a double table sponsor at the annual dinner held on 25 May 2007 at the Ettamogah Pub, Sunshine Coast. The event attracted about 200 Queensland growers and strawberry wholesalers from across Australia.
2007 Gayndah Orange Festival
Up to 50,000 growers and site seers crowded into Gayndah for the staging of its biannual Orange Festival during the June long weekend. Brisbane Produce Market was a gold sponsor of the event.
2007 Australian Vegetable Industry Conference
Brisbane Produce Market sponsored the trade display and conference that drew 600 growers and industry people to Darling Harbour in Sydney from 29-31 May 2007. It also held the naming rights for the prestigious Brisbane Produce Market Innovation Award, which was awarded by CEO Andrew Young at the conference dinner.
2007 Australian Banana Industry Congress
Up to 300 growers heard Brisbane Markets CEO Andrew Young speak at the conference, held from 14-16 June on the Gold Coast. Brisbane Produce Market sponsored the event and ran a successful trade display.
2007 Australian Custard Apple & Sweet Persimmon Industry Conference
Brisbane Produce Market’s bronze sponsorship of the event included a trade display and attending the conference, held from 19-21 July, Marcoola Beach, on the Sunshine Coast.
2007 PMA “Fresh Connections” conference
Brisbane Markets staff members learned more about the Produce Marketing Association’s research after sponsoring the two-day event at Sydney’s Darling Harbour on 2-3 August 2007.
2006 Cyclone Larry Appeal
The Brisbane Markets community rallied behind the people of Far North Queensland through a fundraising appeal after Cyclone Larry decimated the region's horticulture industry. The Brisbane Markets appeal raised $102,580.
2006 Low Chill Stonefruit Industry Conference Netpro Update
Brisbane Produce Market were gold sponsors of the Netpro Update 2006 Low Chill Stonefruit Industry Conference and Trade Expo in Alstonville on 16 to 17 May. CEO Andrew Young facilitated a session and conducted a panel discussion focusing on the importance of the relationship of growers with the central market system and supermarkets when delivering consumers a quality product. Approximately 175 people, mainly growers, attended.
2006 AusVeg Conference "New Vision for Vegetables'
Brisbane Produce Market were bronze sponsors, satchel sponsors and trade display participants at the AusVeg Conference on the ‘New Vision for Vegetables', which ran from 10 to 12 May. CEO Andrew Young addressed approximately 500 conference attendees on "Where to for the Australia's Central Markets?". Brisbane Produce Market also ran a field trip for growers and industry participants and donated vegetables for the conference dinner centerpieces.
2006 Queensland Strawberries Association Dinner
Brisbane Produce Market supported the Queensland Strawberries Association Dinner on 26 May by taking naming rights for two tables. CEO Andrew Young spoke to approximately 200 growers attending the event at the Ettamogah Pub at Palmview on the Sunshine Coast.
2006 Stanthorp Apple & Grape Harvest Festival
Brisbane Produce Market was a co-sponsor of the Stanthorp Apple and Grape Harvest Festival held from 3 to 5 March, and sponsor of the fireworks display. Approximately 70,000 people saw the Brisbane Produce Market logo light up the sky.
2005 Australian United Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Association (AUF) Annual General Meeting
Brisbane Produce Market hosted the Australian United Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Association (AUF) Annual General Meeting and combined Cuckoo Club and Industry Awards Presentation Dinner on 29 November.
2005 3rd International Cucurbit Symposium & 7th Australian Melon Conference
Brisbane Produce Market was a bronze sponsor of the Third International Cucurbit Symposium and 7th Australian Melon Conference which took place from 11 to 17 September. The conference boasted an attendance of 250 people and covered issues such as plant health, post harvest disease, and the supply chain.
2005 Sixth Biannual Australian Banana Industry Congress
Brisbane Produce Market was a level 4 sponsor of the 6th Australian Banana Industry Congress held from 10 to 13 August. CEO Andrew Young spoke at the event, which included international guests speaking on a range issues such as alternative marketing avenues, an industry risk analysis, and an analysis of the supply.
2005 Gayndah Orange Festival
Brisbane Produce Market sponsored the 2005 Gayndah Orange Festival which ran in Gandah from 4 - 5 June.
2005 Landmark Fifth Australian Mango Conference in Townsville
Brisbane Produce Market sponsored the 2005 Landmark Fifth Australian Mango Conference held in Townsville from 5 - 7 May. Brismark staff attended the event themed ‘Challenging the future' which looked at the power of perspectives and how different people see the same thing in different ways. The conference also looked at production, diseases and supply chain issues.
2005 AgroTrend Field Day - Bundaburg
Brisbane Produce Market sponsored the 2005 AgroTrend Field Day in Bundaberg from 5 - 7 March. Brismark sent staff along to promote relationships with the Central Market System.
2004 Tsunami Appeal
The Brisbane Markets Tsunami Appeal for the victims of the December 2004 Tsunami and raised a total of $60,000 for the Australian Red Cross.
