In 2009 Brisbane Produce Market supported one of the busiest industry event seasons in years with its sponsorships and attendance of conferences, dinners and a festival.

The following events were supported:

June: Australian Banana Industry Congress, Gold Coast

Brisbane Produce Market has sponsored the biannual event once again that drew up to 500 growers and industry representatives from around Australia. Brisbane Produce Market and a host of Brisbane Markets wholesalers attended the event.

May: Queensland Strawberry Growers Association dinner, Sunshine Coast

This is an annual dinner where the Queensland strawberry growers meet to the discuss the season ahead and hear industry speakers.  Brisbane Produce Market is a sponsor of the event and attended, along with a number of strawberry wholesalers.

May: Australian Mango Conference, Cairns

The biannual national conference, including field day, new tools and technology, plenary sessions and workshops is a great industry-networking event.  Brismark and its mango wholesalers attended the event. 

May: Fresh Connections Produce Marketing Association Conference, Sydney

Brisbane Produce Market representatives joined stakeholders from throughout the horticulture industry to hear consumer information tailored to the fresh produce industry. Brisbane Produce Market was a sponsor and was represented at the event.

May: Australian Vegetable Industry Conference, Melbourne

This national event brings growers from across Australia to network and build unity within the supply chain. Brisbane Produce Market sponsored the Innovative Marketing Award, which was awarded at the Australian Vegetable Industry Awards, a gala night at the end of the conference. 

April: 2009 Bowen District Growers Association Annual Dinner, Bowen

This annual event draws growers and industry representatives from across the Bowen region. Brisbane Produce Market was the Platinum sponsor, with Industry Liaison Officer Vanessa Kennedy also taking the opportunity to attend and visit growers while in the area. 

March: Australian Chamber of Fruit and Vegetable Industries Conference 2009, Melbourne

It's the annual event for Australia's fresh produce wholesale marketing sector designed to look at topical industry issues and opportunities. Brismark and Brisbane Markets Limited both sponsored and sent representatives to the event, held in Melbourne.
